The climate has changed

In these days the weather in Tuscany is very very hot. Too hot. I’m 55 and I remember when I was child: in the morning, whilst I went to summer camp, I had to wear a little sweater. At 7am the air was cool. Now at 7 o’clock the temperatur already is around 25°C, at 9am it reaches 29°C and rises until 34, or more in the afternoon.

Walking in the woods is impossible, beneath the tree canopy, the humidity is stifling; leaves and twigs stick to my sweaty skin. On the Appenines the ridges are complitely exposed to the sun, walking there means risk an heat or sun stroke.

So all that’s left to do is wait for fall to arrive, leaving my hiking boots on the shelf until the weather cools down.
